Our technical department is seeking an HVAC Building Mechanical Technical Support Technician. The technician specializes in the commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems such as: VRF heat pumps, air conditioning, water chillers, dehumidification systems, ventilation, energy recovery, etc.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with HVAC system startups;
- Site visits;
- Supporting and training contractors and end-users;
- Adjusting, fine-tuning, and inspecting equipment according to plans and specifications;
- Technical assistance and diagnosis of technical equipment problems;
- Preparing technical reports with recommendations;
- Compliance with safety standards.
Requirements and skills:
- Diploma of vocational training (DEP) in refrigeration and air conditioning or a college diploma in building mechanics;
- 2 to 3 years of experience in building mechanics (HVAC);
- Skills in refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and controls;
- Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to read technical plans and work with technical tools;
- Ability to use a computer with technical software;
- Reading technical documentation.
